Griffin & Associates is providing Public Outreach for the Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) project. Working with Bradbury Stamm Construction and the City of Albuquerque we’ve employed the latest technology to stay in touch with the various audiences. These include the driving public, the general public, the businesses along the construction corridor, the neighborhood associations, elected officials and the media.
Twice weekly, utilizing Mixonium (a multi-media service created by a Corrales resident) we send out construction updates. These updates go out on Friday afternoons and early Monday mornings by email and text and provide information for travel planning for the coming workweek. If you haven’t signed up, and would like to, go to BRTABQ.com. The sign up option is on the home page.
Public Outreach and the ART app
We’ve also launched an ART app, which includes weekly construction alerts, special events and promotions by the businesses on Central Avenue. It’s available on Apple and Android devices. For Apple devices, go to the iTunes App Store or search for ART ABQ in the iTunes App Store. For Android users go to the Google Play Store or search for ART ABQ in the Google Play Store
Construction can be challenging. However, ART will be substantially complete by winter 2017. This is the time for all of us to support the businesses on Central Avenue. Please remember that Central Avenue is always open with at least one lane moving in each direction. Just give yourself a few extra minutes and visit your favorite shop or restaurant.
